Ample Hills Creamery to open ice cream factory and retail shop in Red Hook right in one of the O’Connell Organization’s building. This is huge for manufacturing and tourism in the neighborhood! Ample Hills has made itself known throughout NYC with its unique combinations and delicious flavors

Red Hook community votes against re-zoning to allow a 200-bed nursing home to be built in a flood zone. Community Board 6’s Land Use Committee voted against the re-zoning, but the Community Board as a whole voted for the re-zoning. Now it’s off to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams

Three Years After Sandy: A bill to help small businesses in Red Hook

New York City Housing Authority is still waiting on $3 billion from Federal Emergency Management Agency, funding that will go toward replacing temporary boilers still heating the Red Hook public houses since Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012
